Bossier traffic notice: Delays expected on Parks Road this morning
This morning, motorists traveling on Parks Road should prepare for significant traffic delays as contracted crews for the Bossier Parish Police Jury begin roadwork in the area.
The project involves overlaying Parks Road and continuing east on Linton Road up to the fire station. Work is expected to last through Wednesday.
Drivers are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes or allow extra travel time during this period.
Flagmen will be present to direct traffic, and lane closures or slow-moving traffic should be anticipated throughout the construction zone.

Haughton water outage and boil advisory
A planned water outage and subsequent boil advisory began at midnight last night within the Haughton town limits. The outage is due to the relocation of a fire hydrant for the LA 3227 reroute project.
Water was to be restored at 5 am this morning, however, a mandatory boil advisory is now in effect for all affected customers. This will remain until the Louisiana Department of Health confirms the water is safe.
The area impacted is near LA Hwy 157 & LA Hwy 3227, including:
490 N. Elm St. – Pilot Travel Center
475 N. Elm St. – Waffle House
121 LA 3227 – Superior Graphix / Twice the Ice
Residential Addresses: 440, 456, 462 N. Elm St.
BPSO announces promotion
Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington has announced the promotion of Deputy James Lonadier, who was officially promoted to the rank of Corporal Monday morning at the Bossier Parish Courthouse.
Corporal Lonadier has served with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office for over 10 years. He served for two years in Corrections, four years as a School Resource Officer at Benton High School, and most recently as the main instructor for BPSO’s Youth Shooting Sports Program.

Bossier City Council members to speak at the South Bossier Lunch Group tomorrow
The South Bossier Lunch Group will welcome the members of the Bossier City Council tomorrow from 11:30 am to 1 pm (11:30 to12 pm networking, 12 pm guest speakers).
