District 1 councilmember Brian Hammons summed up his feelings about allowing backyard chickens in Bossier City, following a lengthy discussion at Tuesday’s meeting.
“You have to look at this in a sense that you’re telling people, free in the United States of America, that they cannot have fresh eggs,” Hammons said.
