Bossier Police Jury: Residential planning changes, new shopping center, construction updates

The Bossier Parish Police Jury approved some amendments to the subdivision ordinance, as recommended by the Benton, Bossier, and Haughton Metropolitan Planning Commissions. The minimum right-of-way width for streets with front utilities will be increased to 80 feet, and 30-foot front building setbacks will be instituted.
The jury also scheduled a public hearing on October 1, 2025, to consider approval of an application of Lloyd Dotson Properties a zoning amendment to change nearly 13 acres of from Residential Agriculture to General Business for a proposed shopping center to be located at Two Oaks Storage, 5150 Highway 80.
The jury also reappointed Megan Davis to the Bossier City Parish Metropolitan Planning Commission Board of Adjustments for a five-year term, which expires on September 1, 2030.
