A rare retail comeback: Books-a-Million reopens in Bossier City

It's a rare retail comeback. After 11 years of closing its Bossier City location, Books-A-Million has reopened.
The new location, at 2920 Meadowcreek Drive, formerly housed Lane Bryant, which closed in 2020 following the parent company's bankruptcy. The received bookstore chain is based in Birmingham, and now runs over 260 stores in more than 30 states.
A grand opening has not yet been announced, but the store was fully stocked and ready for customers with its doors open this weekend.
Crest Construction & Commercial Roofing of Monroe renovated the building in just 12 weeks.
Meanwhile, 2nd & Charles in the old BAM location, and owned by the same company, is slated to close.
