Nearly 3-Year Investigation Results in Arrest of Suspect for Child Sex Crime

Following a nearly three-year investigation, a Shreveport man has been charged with sexual abuse of a young Bossier City child.

Kevin Hibbs, 31, of the 8900 block of Rosewood Lane in Shreveport, has been booked into Bossier Maximum Security Prison accused of aggravated crime against nature.

“Hibbs was arrested for sexually abusing a child. The victim was between the ages of four and seven when the abuse occurred,” Bossier City Police public information officer Traci Landry told BossierNow.

Landry says the crime was reported to BCPD in November of 2016 and it took nearly three years before Hibbs could be charged.

“Based on evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, a warrant was issued for Hibbs arrest,” Landry said. No other details could be released on the case, due to the nature of the crime, Landry added.

Hibbs was booked into Bossier Max with a $250,000 bond.
